Tilting is a remarkable examples of The Family inshore Fishery Operation . Many stages & stores have been fully restored and are a testament to the people of outport Newfoundland's determination and strength of character. Anyone interested in learning about the history of outport life and the tenacity that it took to survive on the end of the cold North Atlantic, will not be disappointed upon visiting Tilting.

Fishing implements such as flakes, cutting tables, puncheon tubs, cod liver oil barrels, and various tools associated with the inshore fishery can be viewed in the museums and in the restores stages & stores throughout the community.
